Princeton recruit T.J. Bray was on the winning side of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game. Bray scored six points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, added a steal and a block while committing zero turnovers.

Georgetown is expected to name Mississippi State assistant coach Robert Kirby to the Hoya staff, replacing the departed David Cox.

Kirby will be on hand December 9th, when Temple hosts Georgetown at the Liacouras Center.

Despite 12 points and six rebounds from captain Mason Rocca, Armani Jeans Milano lost 93-69 to Montepaschi Siena, competing a four game sweep in the Lega A championship series.

Judson Wallace and Benetton Treviso saw their season end with a three point loss to Montepaschi Siena.

Will Venable broke out of a prolonged slump with four hits against the Dodgers on Wednesday. Sliding up to the leadoff spot, Venable nearly hit for the cycle and reached base five times. It was the third four hit game of Venable’s major league career.

Venable later joined Sports Radio San Diego (.mp3) to discuss his evening.

The Padres have shut down Chris Young’s throwing and placed him on the 60 day disabled list.

Judson Wallace and Benetton Treviso were blown out by Montepaschi Siena 118-79 in the first game of their Lega A quarterfinals.

Mason Rocca scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Armani Jeans Milano’s 72-65 win over Sigma Coatings Montegranaro on the other side of the bracket.

Finally, a Princeton basketball result - though not one I would have expected, made the Daily Princetonian list of the academic year’s best games.

Robert Burke to coach Mount St. Mary’s.

CBS Sportsline and Fox Sports are both reporting that former Princeton and Georgetown assistant Robert Burke has been hired as the new men’s basketball coach at Mount St. Mary’s.

Burke was on the sidelines alongside John Thompson III at Princeton from 2000-2004 and at Georgetown from 2004-2009 before leaving the Hoyas without explanation. This past season he was an assistant coach at American University.

The Mountaineers went 16-15 last season, 12-6 in the NEC.
