Goodbye, professor.

Hello

Princeton sociology professor emeritus Marvin Bressler, an academic advisor to the Princeton men's basketball team for three decades, around whom the school's Academic Fellows program was built, passed away Tuesday after a long illness at the age of 87.

He had a full, amazing and fascinating life.

While I am sure it would irk him, I will miss him greatly.

If a public memorial is announced, I will be sure to post details.

Wednesday News:

Alexander Wolff's feature on John Thompson III is in the latest Sports Illustrated. Wolff has quotes from Bob Scrabis, Gary Walters, Professor Marvin Bressler, Nate Walton, Ed Persia and Kyle Wente in this incredibly well-researched piece.

Despite 39 points from Damon Huffman in his final collegiate game, Brown (19-10) fell at Ohio in the first round of the CBI.

Richmond (16-15) was up 12 with 8:41 remaining, but Virginia rallied for a 66-64 victory in CBI action.

One more Georgetown article to bookend today's news, from the Wall Street Journal.
