Dick "Hoops" Weiss of the New York Daily News is reporting that Columbia coach Joe Jones will step down to become an assistant at Boston College. The Columbia Spectator says this is just speculation.

Penn assistant John Gallagher is confirmed as leaving Philadelphia to join Steve Donahue's staff.

The return of Chris Young to the mound for the first time in 10 months was a rousing success. Young pitched six innings of shutout, one hit baseball as San Diego defeated Arizona 6-3. You can watch highlights of Young's night here.

Teammate Will Venable provided Young with support, hitting a solo home run to right field in the fourth inning.

Tiger recruit Ben Hazel, who I can confirm did receive official admission to Princeton, was named Honorable Mention 2010 All-Met Boys Basketball.

Northwestern backup center Kyle Rowley is transferring.



Tuesday News:

Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports just reported that according to multiple sources Steve Donahue will be the next head coach at Boston College.

Chris Young makes his first start of the year for San Diego tonight at 9:40 pm ET in Arizona. Yesterday, in the Padres' season opener, Will Venable was 0-3 at the plate.

Princeton recruit Chris Clement scored 20 points for the North team in a 104-93 loss at the 2010 Dennis Johnson Memorial Boys High School All-Star Classic.

It is reported that Chris Mooney will interview for the open BC job today. An interview with Cornell coach Steve Donahue yesterday went "extremely well" according to a source.

A contract extension for Mooney at Richmond lacks only his signature.
