Thursday News:

The Daily Princetonian talked to several different people, including myself, looking for the reason(s) Coach Johnson left for Fairfield.

This list of potential replacements does not break any new ground.

It is no surprise that Tommy Amaker was able to leverage his offer from Miami into better resources and increased pay for his assistant coaches at Harvard.

Chris Young pitched seven strong innings (video) and left Sunday's game versus the Nationals with a 3-1 lead. The Mets bullpen couldn't hold the advantage and Washington would prevail in 11 innings.

The Princeton Packet talked to a pair of Tiger recruits about Coach Johnson's departure. Current players have been asked to not comment on the situation. The paper also attempts to work through why Johnson left.

Fairfield believes Johnson is part of their vision.

Bill Bradley spoke Thursday at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa.



Clay Wilson decommits.

In the wake of Coach Johnson's departure to Fairfield, Tiger recruit Clay Wilson has announced he is decommiting from Princeton and will possibly not head to New Jersey this fall.

This change of plans leaves the Tigers' 2011 recruiting class at three members. With acceptance letters already mailed, it may be too late to replace Wilson.
