Thursday News:

Judson Wallace scored 16 points off the bench and grabbed six rebounds as FC Barcelona forced a decisive game five in the ACB championship series versus rival Real Madrid.

Princeton is but one of a slew of schools on the trail of a forward taking a PG year at a popular pre-Ivy destination.

Something Cappy Cappon once said to him has always stayed with Frank Deford.

Oregon State picked up a commitment from a 7'1" big man.

Yale unveiled a tentative 2012-13 basketball schedule which means you can pencil in dates for four of Princeton's conference games this season. Also of note, a significant home "get" for the Bulldogs.

Good on the Gators for agreeing to play at Yale. Major programs going into Ivy gyms is too rare these days.

Jon, when will you start populating the 12-13 schedule to the right? One of my favorite parts of the off-season is watching the schedule take shape.

I would be curious to know how Yale pulled this off while Princeton has been unable to.

Will start populating the right column when there's more set dates available. Expect a bunch of "return games" from 2011-12.

When was the last time Princeton played a major conference school not named Rutgers at home? Harvard was able to land Colorado in addition to BC, and now Yale got Florida? They both play in high school gyms! Does Penn have the same problem outside the Big 5?

Penn has brought Pitt, UNC and Colorado in to The Palestra since 2005.

I believe the answer to your question is South Carolina at Jadwin in 2008.

We really know 12 of Princeton's conference games now, right? The Ivy League will keep last year's schedule order the same for the six regular weekends, just flipping home and away (like they've done in the previous two-year stretches), and Princeton should start with everybody else since exams don't conflict with the first weekend this year.
