Thursday News:

Sophomore guard Clay Wilson is preparing for a breakout second season at Princeton.

T.J. Bray and Jimmy Sherburne played their first game as teammates in the Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am. While both put up nice stat lines, it is concerning to read Sherburne had to leave the contest due to a shoulder injury.

Mason Rocca has an offer on the table from Virtus Bologna and is expected to give them an answer today.

Matching shutout innings with Jordan Zimmermann into the sixth, Chris Young (2-4) allowed a two run home run by Adam LaRoche and that was enough to send the Mets to defeat. Young gave up six hits and was aided by a pair of double plays.

The NCAA's new summer practice rule is benefitting everyone but the Ivy League.

I enjoyed the piece about Clay Wilson and am hoping for a Dan Mavraides-like leap for Wilson from his freshman to sophomore years. He and TJ Bray would look great in the backcourt.

I can't think of better news this summer than the Clay Wilson piece. With Jimmy Sherburne at full strength (as indications suggest) and TJ Bray playing the way we know he can, Clay Wilson can help ease the backcourt transition away from Doug D. The 2012-13 Tigers have a chance to be measurably better than last season's team.
