Kareem Maddox to play in England.

After one season playing for Landstede Basketbal in the Netherlands (where he averaged 9.4 points and 4.7 rebounds a game), Kareem Maddox is moving westward to the United Kingdom, as he has signed with the Newcastle Eagles.

Newcastle is the top team in the British Basketball League, having swept the BBL Cup, BBL Trophy and Tournament in 2011-12.

Maddox's fellow Zwolle teammate and Brown alum Damon Huffman has also signed with the Eagles.

Just curious...what will Kareem be paid to play for Newcastle? Also, David Blatt is compling a record of which we can all be very proud. Can an NBA post be far off?

The only response to that question I can find comes from Wiki Answers, so I am reluctant to take it as gospel. I'll continue to research.

A forward-thinking NBA GM is going to take a chance on Dave Blatt and I think they'll be rewarded for not rehashing the same old coaching choices.
