The Boston Globe has more on plans for a new basketball arena at Harvard. I was surprised that the new gym's capacity would only be ~600 seats larger than Lavietes Pavilion.

O'Brien is a 23 yr old HS Senior????? What's he been doing since he hurt himself? Is he still a Princeton recruit? Article says he "gray-shirted" with Princeton. What does that mean?

He's a senior...in college.

O'Brien did a "gap year" (thus the gray-shirt reference) after his senior year in high school with the expectation that he would be admitted to Princeton. That ended up not being the case, which was a surprise to all.

His path then took him to the University of San Francisco, where he played for a season. He then transferred to Cal Poly where he sat out the required year before suiting up.

Cleared to play he tore an ACL during the preseason and missed all of 2011-12.
