Jon- This year is shaping up to be a very good one for the teams you cover on this web site. It will be interesting as conference play starts, how many teams qualify for the big dance. I'm hoping Northwestern can finally make the tournament. I would think that bothRichmond and Denver have a good chance to win their conference tournaments.

Northwestern needs to get to nine Big Ten wins to get in.

Richmond's profile is "outside looking in" at this point, but they're bubble-worthy.

Denver needs to win the Sun Belt tournament to get in. They don't play nearly as well away from home as at home, but if they can get a high enough seed to avoid South Alabama AND Western Kentucky, anything is possible.

Wow, look at the Pioneers' home/away/neutral splits since Scott took over!

09-10: 11-1 / 1-4 / 0-0
08-09: 12-3 / 2-12 / 1-1
07-08: 4-10 / 0-15 / 0-0

I think 8 Big Ten wins, an 8-10 conference record, will get Northwestern in since they have have 12 non-conference wins over quality teams such as Stanford, Iowa State and NC State. As good as Northwestern has been, it will be hard for them to get 8 or 9 wins in the Big Ten this year. That win over my alma mater Michigan in Ann Arbor was huge.
