Good interview, Jon. I like SJ's interview style and find that he cuts quite a contrast compared to Joe Scott. His answers are much shorter and crisper (and therefore easier to listen to!). Also, I think there's a degree of candor that was sometimes missing from past interviews. For example, SJ isn't shy about facing up to what's happened to the program in recent years. He even refers to the program being "down" right now. While this is now pretty obvious to everyone, I still appreciate his willingness to acknowledge reality. It gives me hope that he might, with time, be able to turn things around. He also urges the fans and alumni to be patient with him in his endeavor to restore respectability in the program and I for one am completely on board with that. Congrats again Jon on reaching 100! --Steve

Steve,

Sydney certainly gives briefer answers than Joe did!

I only wish I could get him to discuss Xs and Os on-mic, even in generalities.

His refusal to reveal *anything* about this subject has made it hard to prepare questions.

The first "no comment" I got back about something tactical was quite surprising.

Hoya Paranoia, perhaps?

Jon
