The first meeting with Stags' Athletic Director Gene Doris occurred on Tuesday, March 22nd, the same day I interviewed Coach Johnson a final time at Jadwin Gym.
I am unsure if this meeting took place before or after our noontime conversation, but it does put the final visual from this piece in a new light.
Johnson was then out of the country through the weekend, so he was unable to talk in person with Fairfield again until the next week. A deal was agreed upon at the Final Four.
Needless to say, I'm very interested in reading part two!
