Friday News:

Senior center Emerson Kampen, who had been associated with Princeton during his recruiting, will walk on at Butler this fall.

The Georgetown basketball banquet was held on Wednesday night.

Northwestern hosted "Open Gym Day" for fans earlier this week.

Chris Young was flipped with Greg Maddox in the Padres' rotation and will start tomorrow night against Arizona.

Finally, a piece from the Register-Guard on the work Craig Robinson has cut out for himself at Oregon State.

Sad that a player would rather walk on at Butler than come to Princeton!

Jack,

Basketball-wise, Butler is a pretty easy choice over Princeton. That may change in the future, but that has not been the case for a few years now.

Remember, rarely is it known how strong a program's interest was in a player compared to a player's interest in a program.

I'm not saying that was the case with Kampen but it isn't as simple as "he picked School A over School B."
