Mavraides signs in Greece.

As first reported on his Twitter feed, Dan Mavraides has signed a three year deal with top Greek team Aris Basketball Club.

Playing in Thessaloniki, Aris B.C. went 14-12 last season, good for fourth place in Greece's HEBA A1, the premier professional league in the country. Aris also competed in Eurocup, advancing out of group play into the Top 16 pool a year ago.

With Mavraides now under contract, joining Pawel Buczak (Poland) and Kareem Maddox (The Netherlands), a question crossed my mind: When was the last time three Princeton teammates were simultaneously playing professionally overseas?

Gordon Enderle in Sweden,Craig Robinson in England and Rich Simkus in Switzerland in 1983.

That's a good one. Looks like the time prior to Mavraides / Maddox / Buczak would have been some combination of players in the late 1990s from a pool of S. Johnson, J. Rosenfeld, C. Doyal, S. Goodrich, etc.
