Tuesday News:

Princeton Association of New England is putting on a post-game reception when the Tigers visit Northeastern in December. If you don't have your tickets for this event or the tilt at Harvard yet, they are still available through Bob Ruxin and PANE.

Despite missing three likely starters, Northwestern had no trouble with Robert Morris. Six Wildcats hit double figures on their way to the 99-48 victory.

Princeton basketball recruit Mike Washington, Jr. grabbed six receptions and a touchdown in Oak Harbor's season-ending state tournament loss to Eastlake Catholic.

Bull Run is already previewing Buffalo's trip to Jadwin Gym.

There's a documentary about Georgetown's trip to China airing tonight on MASN.

The Hoya has published their in-depth basketball preview edition.

Denver coach Joe Scott likes what he sees out of his freshman class.

I've added Basketball Times' Ivy League predictions to the site's 2011-12 conference projections.

In the latest ESPN The Magazine, the Tigers are ranked 104th out of all 344 Division I programs. There are also some great photographs in the issue of two gyms Princeton will visit this season - The Palestra and Payne Whitney Gym.

Jon, this comment doesn't really apply to uour post this morning, and maybe I missed it, but I don't recall any report on the team's official pre-season scrimmage (can't recall the opponent).

Thanks,
Dick Woodward

Dick,

These scrimmages are closed to the public and coaches / players are not supposed to comment extensively about them so there's not much information that I can share. Henderson and some Tigers did make mention to scrimmaging La Salle at Media Day and elsewhere. I gather it went OK and it was good to play against unfamiliar faces.

I'm in some ways more interested in the intra-squad scrimmage Henderson referenced in this week's Q&A.

Jon
