Programming note - attempted vacation.

I will be attempting to take a five day family vacation to western England starting tonight. While I hope to post occasional news, I've found internet access to be limited at best where I'm going, so forgive me if stories are not on the site in as timely a manner between now and Wednesday night.

Jon--What a cute house! What a lovely garden (though I doubt it's so lush at this time)! Can I come too?

Bon voyage.

Peter,

Let me know if you somehow qualify as "carry on luggage."

Gonzaga's Hummer Heightens His Game
By Josh Barr
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, January 14, 2009; Page E06

Playing against a top opponent and perhaps the Washington area's top post player, Gonzaga forward Ian Hummer acknowledged that last night's game represented a special opportunity. Hummer, a 6-foot-6 senior who has committed to play for Princeton, was a key player on last year's City Title championship team, but the chance to show his skills against third-ranked Bishop McNamara and its star center, Talib Zanna, was exciting.
