Oregon State center Angus Brandt, who injured his knee in the second half of the Beavers' 66-58 win over Purdue on Friday at Madison Square Garden, will miss the rest of the  season, according to coach Craig Robinson.

Robinson said that Brandt, a senior who would qualify for a medical hardship waiver from the NCAA, will return in 2013-14, though.

Brandt's right knee buckled as he caught a pass from Challe Barton on the high post with about five minutes left in the game against the Boilermakers. Details of the injury have not been released.

Brandt averaged 11.3 points and 8.5 rebounds in the first four games for the Beavers (3-1). He was shooting 44 percent from the floor, 5 of 12 on three-pointers, and had five blocks and four steals.
