PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ivy League men's basketball plays the role of visitor this week as eight of 10 games feature Ancient Eight squads donning road jerseys.
League teams play up and down the East Coast from New Hampshire
to North Carolina with four matchups against Atlantic Coast and Big
East Conference competition. Three of those games are on the road
as Harvard makes the short trip to Boston College on Tuesday and
then heads to Connecticut on Friday night, while Brown treks to the
South Bend, Ind., to take on Notre Dame, which entered the Top 25
in both polls this week. Penn gets to take on Big 5 foe Villanova
in the friendly confines of The Palestra on Saturday night in a
game to be televised by the NBC Sports Network.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Harvard sophomore forward Wesley Saunders (Los
Angeles) led the Crimson in both games last week. Saunders shot
7-of-12 from the field and tallied a career-high 21 points, while
assisting on four baskets and making four steals against Vermont.
He followed that performance by going 13-of-18 from the foul line
and notching 17 points against Fordham. He leads Harvard with 15.8
points per game, which ranks second in the Ancient Eight, and has
started all six games this season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Harvard freshman guard Siyani Chambers (Golden
Valley, Minn.) continued to impress during his rookie season,
reaching double figures in scoring in the Crimson's two games.
Chambers scored 16 against Vermont, while also handing out eight
assists. In Harvard's victory over Fordham, he added 13 points and
three assists, while averaging 14.5 points for the week. He was
also perfect from the foul line this week, going
10-of-10.
