Courtesy: Princeton Athletic CommunicationsPRINCETON -- Kendrick Saunders, who recently completed a five-year stint as an assistant coach at Army, is coming to Princeton to serve as the director of men's basketball operations.
"I admire Kendrick's work ethic, professionalism and integrity," Princeton men's basketball head coach Sydney Johnson said. "Additionally, Kendrick's past experience as an assistant coach at the collegiate level will serve our program well. Very soon, the preparation by our coaches and players for the upcoming season will be put to the test."
Saunders is a 1998 alumnus of Palm Beach Atlantic College, where he played point guard and earned a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in physical education. Between his collegiate playing days and arriving a West Point in 2005, Saunders was an assistant coach for the girls team at Great Mills High, his alma mater in Maryland, before spending four years as the lead men's assistant coach at Hunter College in New York and two years as a men's assistant at Frostburg State in Maryland.
Outside of collegiate athletics, Saunders was an assistant coach for the Gotham City Knights of the National Rookie League in its inaugural season of 2000 and has also worked at a Five-Star basketball camp.
Saunders and his wife Janice have two sons, Alexavier and Hezekiah.
