Interesting that a team that was 12 points away from going 14-0, places no player on the first team. Also looking at the first team, every one except Foote was successfully defensed by Princeton. One glaring issue, Dale, who when guarded and guarding Davis was totally overmatched by Davis. Congrats to the second team selectees but something wrong with the voting.

Peter,

I'd disagree that Dale was overmatched by Davis. Up in Ithaca, Davis shot 2-11 from the floor.

That being said, I think most associated with the Princeton program would trade 11-3 in the league for a first team All-Ivy nod.

The Cornell Basketball Blog says that Sydney Johnson has been mentioned as a potential replacement coach for some program somewhere (no details provided). This is of course my worst nightmare. I could not find anything on the web about this.

Jon: have you heard anything?

Rodney,

Consider the source, especially since the site doesn't cite one.

Jon,

Creighton and George Mason have already been invited and accepted to host opening round CIT games, with Missouri State publicizing its bids to play in either CBI or CIT.

Notably, George Mason' RPI is significantly lower than Princeton's.

Any indication from Princeton Athletics about what's going on with the Tigers?

Thanks for those links. I hope to find the time to make a NCAA/NIT/CBI/CIT table in the coming days.

I've received no word about the postseason, but I'd be ok with Princeton traveling to George Mason for a CIT game. Good matchup.

Does the CBI have enough of a sense of humor to send U. Denver (19-13) to Jadwin Gym? Lousy RPI but with 19 wins perhaps they will play somewhere...

Winner plays at Northwestern?

Georgetown's win today probably got them out of the potential Hoyas/Cornell matchup.

Temple/Big Red anyone?

Temple/Big Red and Donahue vs Dunphy has been on my radar for weeks. Would be fascinating and a good matchup.
