Thursday News:

Georgetown has announced their 2011-12 schedule, which includes 16 home games.

Back in April I had been told that Princeton would likely play St. Joe's again this season. The Hawks' schedule is out and the Tigers aren't on it.

Bill Bradley is among the speakers expected at Princeton's Gathering in Remembrance of 9/11 a week from Sunday on Cannon Green.

Sydney Johnson has his first commitment at Fairfield, an athletic forward from Philadelphia.

Northwestern alum Michael "Juice" Thompson is headed to Germany, where he'll suit up for the Fraport Skyliners.

By this time last year we had verbal commitments from Wilson and Koon. So far this year we have no verbals that I am aware. With the last two relatively modest recruiting classes, it would seem to me pretty important that we get one or two high profile recruits this year to replace our strong group of juniors in a couple of years. Mitch Henderson is going to have quite a job staying with Harvard and Penn if we don't get another Hummer or Maddux level player and dominant scoring guard (unless Clay Wilson quickly adapts to a much higher level of competition than he saw in HS) in the next year.

Any prospects on the horizon?
