New Recruit - Ian Hummer.

After being teased as a possibility on sites such as i95Ballerz since early August, Gonzaga high school senior standout Ian Hummer made his commitment to Princeton official last week.

The 6'7", 225 lb forward is the son of former Princeton star Ed Hummer '67 and the nephew of another Tiger legend - John Hummer '70.

We had a chance to speak with Gonzaga head coach Steve Turner on Friday and he gave us the scoop on this highly regarded prospect who passed up high major opportunities for the chance to play for the Tigers. Quotes, video highlights, player evaluations and articles can be found after the jump.

Coach Sydney Johnson - 11/3/08.

Princeton head coach Sydney Johnson and princetonbasketball.com editor Jon Solomon caught up at Jadwin Gym on Monday morning to talk in detail about the 2008-09 season. Included in this discussion are questions about the new banners hanging in the rafters, meeting Bill Bradley for the first time, this year's team captains, information on player injuries, the freshman class, how practices have gone so far and a variety of other topics. This interview is 25:00+ in length, our longest interview with Coach Johnson to date.

The good recruiting news continues for Coach Sydney Johnson: 6'9" senior forward Will Barrett has confirmed that he will play his college ball for the Tigers, choosing Princeton over Columbia and interest from Michigan.

This just in: The Washington Post's Recruiting Insider reports that 6'7" Gonzaga senior center Ian Hummer has decided to attend Princeton, choosing the Tigers over Northwestern and Cal. We'll have more on the newest Tiger soon.
