Since graduating Princeton in 2010, Pawel Buczak has been regularly donning a dress shirt and a tie as an Investment Risk Analyst in the New York City area.
That lifestyle will soon change drastically as Buczak recently signed to return to the hardwood with Polish second division team Slask Wroclaw for the 2011-12 season.
Slask Wroclaw was once a premiere Polish squad with 17 PLK championships, but fell on hard financial times in 2008. They finished 12th out of 16 teams in Poland's Tauron Basket Liga a season ago, sporting an 11-19 record.
By returning to the country where he was born, Buczak becomes the fifth Tiger employed as a professional basketball player in Europe - with the inevitable destination of recent alum Dan Mavraides still up in the air.
The 14-Game Tournament has a stellar, well-calculated piece on the past 15 years in the Ivy League and what those numbers mean for the future.
Cornell released their 2011-12 schedule, which confirms that Princeton shall open conference play with four straight road games.
A commercial photographer from Seattle attended Princeton's graduation to see his nephew Kareem Maddox. The pictures he took beautifully capture the experience.
Northwestern is asking fans for feedback on four different new basketball court designs. My vote goes to anything but the all-purple court.
Sydney Johnson is trying to work out an early visit from former Fairfield coach Ed Cooley. A proposed matchup between the Stags and Providence would come on November 14.
Douglas Davis, Will Barrett and Stomp Off won their final game at the DelCo Pro-Am to sew up the sixth seed in a playoff tournament that begins tonight. GoodAfterNoonan did not make the cut, but in one of their last contests Tom Noonan scored 21 points.
Over the weekend Stomp Off lost to former New York Knick and Los Angeles Clipper Mardy Collins' T.Y.G.T.A.L team. It sounds like Davis was well-defended by Collins throughout.
Ian Hummer talks about the upcoming season and what he's been working on this summer.
Three more box scores from T.J. Bray and Jimmy Sherburne's efforts at the Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am. After a slow start RYCO has won four out of five heading into the league playoffs this weekend.
A pair of events for your Mitch Henderson social calendar - He'll guest at the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce's Slam-Dunking To Success breakfast on August 17, and going off of this picture will be part of a panel discussion with Andy Katz on ESPNU.
Former Tiger Ed Persia is one of those quoted in Sports Illustrated's piece about David Salinas.
On Friday there was news about former Tiger Kyle Koncz joining the staff at Williams College.
Before moving to Williamstown, MA there's one important order of business for Koncz however. The AAU team he coaches (Team NLP) is playing in the 10th Grade Division II Championship in Orlando.
You can stream this contest against Fayetteville Stars in its entirety starting at 1:00 pm ET over on espn3.com.
Joining Mitch Henderson's staff in May as the program's new volunteer assistant, former Northwestern guard Craig Moore will not be on the Tiger sidelines this season.
Instead, Moore has opted for a lucrative professional contract with Gaz Metan Medias in Romania.
Moore will finish up the July recruiting period representing Princeton and then leave a vacancy that must be filled quickly less than 80 days before the start of the 2011-12 season.
After three years coaching and teaching at Lake Forest Academy, Kyle Koncz '08 has joined the coaching staff at Division III basketball powerhouse Williams College.
The Ephs advanced to the D-III National Semifinals in 2010-11 and the DIII championship game one season previous, going 30-2.
They are coached by former longtime Dartmouth assistant Mike Maker, a name you might also recall from Princeton's last two coaching searches.
As the return game for last season's trip to Jadwin Gym, Siena will host Princeton on December 22, 2011. It will be the second meeting all-time between the Tigers and the Saints.
Northwestern head man Bill Carmody would like to see the July recruiting periods trimmed down.
The Wildcats' Alex Marcotullio completed a successful run with Great Britain at the FIBA Under-20 European Championships and was promptly invited to the National Team's training camp.
There had been talks of Mercer County's two Division I basketball teams meeting last season, but a date could not be finalized. This year's game is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, December 14th, 2011.
The location of this contest is not completely clear, but it looks like a short road trip for the Tigers.
Rider had a 23-11 record in 2010-11, finishing 107th in RPI, 120th in Sagarin and 136th in Pomeroy.
My schedule and the schedule of the NCAA-accredited Delaware County Pro-Am summer league finally synchronized on Sunday, so Stephen Goldsmith and I set forth on a 45 minute drive to King of Prussia, PA in hopes of seeing a few current and former Princeton players in action.
Will Venable led off with his his third home run off the season (video) as San Diego built a 13-0 lead after two innings of an easy victory at Florida. Venable would score three of the Padres' runs.

Northwestern will host Baylor during the 2011-12 season.
Princeton's T.J. Bray (above) and Jimmy Sherburne are teammates back home at the Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am. Their squad currently holds a 1-3 record. Box scores for each contest:
princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
