With an 92-66 win at Chicago State, Oregon State (10-2) is off to their best start in 22 seasons.

For a second time this season Georgetown plays Memphis.

Sydney Johnson got his wish and Fairfield will play at UConn.

To conclude their non-conference run, Northwestern plays at #23 Creighton.

Reggie Hearn's career high 17 helped Northwestern (9-1) past Central Connecticut by six.

Scoring the game's first 11 points and shooting 57% from the floor, Denver (8-2) beat Boise State, 79-62.

Mercer (2-11) lost to Frederick in DC, 66-36.

A five game Oregon State homestand ends tonight versus Portland State.

Around the Ivy League: Dartmouth (3-7) did what Princeton could not, beating Elon at home, 62-54. Chris Wroblewski's three point shot at the end of overtime gave Cornell (4-4) an 85-82 win over Albany.

Fairfield (7-4) heads into their exam break winners of four straight following a 58-52 win over New Hampshire.

Something to watch on Wednesday: Rider big man Junior Fortunat has been cleared by the NCAA to play. He scored two points in his collegiate debut at Florida on Friday.

The John Thompson III foundation is hosting a book drive at the Verizon Center on Saturday when Georgetown hosts American. Bring a children's book to help the Septima Clark Public Charter School build a library.

A late 18-4 run allowed Georgetown (8-1) to finally pull away from Howard for their sixth straight win. Hoya Hoops has the postgame audio.

John Thompson III announced before the game that freshman forward Tyler Adams would be out indefinitely due to an issue with his heart.

Mercer (2-10) ended a nine game losing streak with a 66-61 win at Burlington. Marvin Champ paced four Vikings in double figures.

Fairfield hosts New Hampshire this afternoon.

Around the Ivy League: Sean McGonagill scored 27 as Brown (5-7) beat Central Connecticut State, 90-80. Columbia (7-4) heads into their exam break winners of seven straight. The Lions defeated LIU by 10. Harvard (9-1) responded from their only loss this season with a 76-52 win at Boston University. Penn (5-6) fell 77-73 at UCLA. Notre Dame scored 36 points in the paint as they bested Dartmouth (2-6) by 18.

The relationship between Ian Hummer and his father Ed is the subject of this lengthy profile. I love how the senior Hummer's wish for his son is that he "sort of be considered Butch's last player."

Despite going without a field goal for the game's final 12 minutes, Fairfield (6-4) held off Old Dominion, 59-51.

It was a three point game midway through the second half, but VCU finished on a 25-6 run to easily vanquish Richmond (6-3).

Oregon State (6-2) saw their home vandalized by Idaho, 74-60.

Returning to action after a week off, Georgetown hosts Howard.

Cornell (3-5) triumphed over Lehigh in overtime by two. Penn (4-5) could not climb all the way out of a deep halftime hole, losing to Villanova 73-65. Making 12 of their 17 three point attempts Columbia (4-4) won again out west, 72-57 against North Texas.
