Continuing to thrive after his demotion, Padres outfielder Will Venable led off yesterday's game with a home run (video) and ended the action with a walk off ninth inning single (video) as San Diego swept Florida, 4-3.

It is official that Princeton's game at Rider this season will be the Tigers' first-ever visit to Alumni Gymnasium.
The Dyckman team with Cornell alum Jeff Foote in the middle (matched up versus Georgetown's Roy Hibbert) and Pawel Buczak coming off the bench won the Nike Pro City crown over defending champs The Franchise, 110-88.
Buczak, called "The European One" and "The Malnourished One" by the public address announcer, scored seven points on 3-4 shooting, including a big three point shot from the right wing in the fourth quarter as The Franchise attempted to rally.
