In their final game before the start of Big Ten play, Northwestern (8-2) defeated SMU by 11.

While it was filmed in March, I had not seen this video of Denver head coach Joe Scott playing "horse" against a CBS 4 reporter before last night.

Princeton recruit Will Barrett scored 18 in Central Bucks South's win over Abington. Jimmy Sherburne tallied 20 in Whitefish Bay's victory against Verona.

First the banners in the rafters, and now something else long-overdue! Princeton will name the floor at Jadwin Gym "Carril Court" in honor of Pete Carril, who stood on the sidelines at Princeton for 29 seasons. There will be ceremony on February 21st when the Tigers host Dartmouth.

Doug Davis made the Honor Roll of the new Ivy Weekly Basketball Awards.

Richmond (6-5) took care of Bucknell, 79-57.

Denver (5-6) won its fourth straight, 66-42 over Grambling State.

Georgetown hosts FIU in their final game before the start of Big East play.

Denver (4-6) won its third straight, 66-55 over Colorado State. There are some interesting quotes from Joe Scott in Associated Press article about how backing off his players has led to them playing better.

Oregon State (4-5) showed how far they have come since their season opener, as they throttled Howard 21-2 out of the gate and exacted their revenge to the tune of 90-54. The Beavers connected on a school record 14 three pointers.

Northwestern (7-2) rallied to within one against Stanford with 1:42 left to play, but the Cardinal hit a three point shot as the shot clock expired that gave them enough breathing room to pull out the 65-59 victory.

Princeton recruit Mack Darrow scored 24 points in Barrington's overtime loss to Woodstock.

Around the Ivy League: Cornell (5-5) outscored LaSalle by 20 in the second half of a 79-70 Big Red victory. Columbia (3-6) lost 64-52 at Madison Square Garden to Virginia Tech.
