The thorough Blue Ribbon Yearbook team preview for Princeton is up on the ESPN web site. It is my understanding this piece was written by Kathy Orton of the Washington Post. Those with ESPN Insider can read articles on all eight Ivy schools here.
Hours of painful data entry behind me, I've completed the 2010-11 electronic calendars for each of the "Carril Cradle" teams. You can download any or all of the following to sync with your computer/PDA.
Each basketball schedule will be updated whenever a tip time changes or new TV information is revealed. These links will work best with iCal but are importable into Google Calendar.
If you notice any errors with games/dates/times/locations, please let me know.
Princeton will have three captains leading the basketball team in 2010-11 - Seniors Dan Mavraides and Kareem Maddox along with junior forward Patrick Saunders.
This trio will be the first Tiger tri-captains since Matt Eastwick, Sean Jackson and George Leftwich in 1991-92.
It isn't footage of the recent Princeton verbal commit on the basketball court, but here's exclusive video of 6'10" recruit Bobby Garbade working out this past spring under the guidance of the BX Player Development Group.

Last year Princeton's controlled preseason scrimmages were against two opponents now on this season's schedule - Towson and Siena. Curious to know who the Tigers will face behind closed doors at Jadwin this month? Unless Princeton has posted an erroneous listing, I've uncovered the answer.
Georgetown held its annual Midnight Madness event at McDonough Arena last night with special live guest Wale. A 2012 big man, one of numerous prospects on-hand, verbally committed to join John Thompson III's program before the night was over.
The previous afternoon was Media Day for the Hoyas. The Washington Post and the Hoya have reports.
Georgetown will head to Hawaii in 2011 for an expanded Maui Invitational. Chaminade is hosting Duke, Kansas, Memphis, Michigan, Tennessee and UCLA in a stacked tournament.
Princeton's 2010-11 season officially gets underway tonight with the first full team practice. Since driving home from Saint Louis in March, I've frequently been thinking about a "wish list" for this year's roster. Hopefully these paragraphs on each returning and incoming player will spark some interesting responses in the comments. I've gone in alphabetical order for the upperclassmen, with the coaching staff and freshmen worked in at the end.
Today's articles primarily follow up on stories from Wednesday. The Press & Sun-Bulletin has a piece about the verbal commitment to Princeton of Bobby Garbade.
Who Runs Gov gives you five things to know about John Rogers.
President Obama has named former Tiger John Rogers chair of the new President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability.
Rush The Court offers up a 2010-11 Ivy League primer, picking Harvard to stand on top come March. Their predictions have been added to our master list of conference previews.
Princeton recruit Denton Koon was listed as Preseason First Team All-Kansas City by KC Preps.
He's senior center Bobby Garbade (rhymes with car-raid), and yesterday he informed the Princeton coaching staff during an on-campus visit that he wanted to be part of the Tigers' next recruiting class. Pending admission, Garbade (pictured on the right above) joins Denton Koon and Clay Wilson, who each verbally committed to Princeton earlier this year.
Tonight I spoke at length with Garbade's high school coach Chris Sinicki, who has coached the future Tiger for the past three seasons at Seton Catholic Central High School in Binghampton, NY. Sinicki's exclusive quotes and analysis plus links to player evaluations and videos of Garbade can be found after the jump.
princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
