Princeton released a statement today that junior Will Barrett will be withdrawing from school.
Barrett has been sidelined since late November with a right foot injury. He plans to return to Princeton for the 2012-13 season.
Given the timing of this announcement (the school's Spring Term begins February 6th), it seems likely Barrett will be petitioning for an extra season of eligibility. By staying enrolled at Princeton he would have only had one year remaining.

Steven Cook’s mind was made up, so there was no reason to wait.
Cook, a guard at New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, made the fairly unprecedented decision to verbally commit to Princeton prior to arriving at the midway point of January of his junior year – a full 20 months before he would be enrolling in college.
According to Trevians head coach Scott Fricke, this conclusion may have appeared surprising but it was an easy one to reach.
"Steven's number one choice was to go to Princeton,” Fricke said. He visited a lot of schools over the summer and he played in a lot of camps. He had a lot of people interested in him and Princeton got a hold of him early. [The staff] came out to several open gyms. They really liked the way Steven played and the way that specifically he would play for the ‘Princeton Offense’ style. They thought he was a perfect fit.”

The new polls are out. Georgetown is 9th in the AP and 10th in the ESPN/USA Today rankings. Harvard is 23rd in the latter but does not appear in the former.
Additionally, Florida State holds the 23rd spot in the Associated Press table, which led me to do some research. I believe this means that the Tigers have defeated a team that was ranked at some point during the season after they met for the first time since besting Xavier at Jadwin in December of 2000. The Musketeers would crack the Top 25 two months later.
Correct me if I am wrong.
It has been a busy week for Princeton recruit Steven Cook. After much phone tag I finally talked to New Trier head coach Scott Fricke this morning so expect a full profile on Cook later today.

Tickets purchased in advance for the game and party are as follows:

$20 for young alums ('07 - '11) and undergrads.
$10 for children under 18.
Add $10 per adult / $5 for young alums and child for non-members. Tickets to the party only are the same price.

It took almost eight minutes for Northwestern (12-7) to score and the Wildcats never cut a Minnesota lead into single digits the rest of the way, falling 75-52.

Trailing by two at halftime, Northwestern (12-6) was blown away by Wisconsin after intermission. The Badgers made six of seven three point attempts once play resumed on their way to a 77-57 final.
