Princeton tips off the 2011-12 season on Saturday, and to provide you with detailed insight on the Tigers' opening opponent I talked with Staten Island Advance writer and Associated Press College Basketball Board member Cormac Gordon (not pictured above) for the first Know! Your! Foe! of the year.
A transcript of our conversation recorded over the weekend can be found after the jump. If you cover a team the Tigers will face down the line, let us know. We'd love to talk with you.

Princeton head coach Mitch Henderson and princetonbasketball.com editor Jon Solomon met courtside at Jadwin Gym this afternoon to record a wide-ranging interview in advance of the Tigers' season opener versus Wagner.
Henderson and Solomon discussed myriad topics including the competitiveness of the team's recent practices, the overall health of Princeton's roster, replacing Dan Mavraides by committee, who the orange and black's best on-ball defender is, the impact of the new restricted area under the basket and how the addition of Dan Geriot has benefited the team's big men before concluding by previewing Henderson's first game as a head coach against the Seahawks.
NYC Buckets asks three questions about Princeton's first foe of the season, Wagner. The NEC's preseason coaches' poll projects the Seahawks to finish fourth in their conference.
Oregon State won yesterday's exhibition versus Pacific by 31.
The Sydney Johnson era began at Fairfield with a 97-70 win over the University of Bridgeport. Johnson was mostly pleased with his team's effort.
Above, the Jadwin Jungle waits for the opening tip of the 2005-06 season.
This post was originally penned in 2009 as "A Decade of Season Openers." I've added last season's game against Rutgers as part of an annual revamp for each upcoming season.
Many of these pieces come from the listserv that predated this web site.
With a week until the 2011-12 season begins, read on for the stories of the past 12 Tiger tipoffs in sequential order...
Oregon State will knock out some cobwebs tonight with an exhibition versus Pacific University.
Sydney Johnson did not coach any exhibitions while at Georgetown or Princeton, so this evening's friendly versus University of Bridgeport will be a new experience.

princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
