Georgetown (11-3) came from behind to beat Providence, 82-75. Freshman Greg Monroe finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, five steals and two blocks for the Hoyas.

Richmond (9-6) started Atlantic 10 play with a 60-48 win at George Washington.

Craig Robinson was ejected at the end of a 64-47 Oregon State (6-8) loss at Arizona.

Denver (7-9) rallied past Louisiana-Monroe, 58-47.

Around the Ivy League: Columbia (5-9) kept NJIT winless, 73-50. A third straight victory for Yale (5-9), 71-63 over Hartford. Brown (6-8) beat Bryant 69-56, two days before Cornell (10-6) did the same, 69-46. Conference play began on Saturday with Harvard (9-6 / 1-0) pulling one out in the final seconds at Dartmouth (2-11 / 0-1). The Big Green's 60-52 loss to Stony Brook was their seventh straight.

Richmond (8-6) steamed Rice, 74-43.

Mercer (6-7) won 59-35 over Salem. Antoine Rogers scored 14 for the victorious Vikings.

Denver (6-8) fell 63-62 in double overtime to Louisiana-Lafayette.

Northwestern (8-4) was outscored by 12 in the second half of a 77-66 loss to Michigan State.

Oregon State hosts USC this afternoon.

Around the Ivy League: Cornell (8-6) made a school record 18 three pointers in a 99-45 drubbing of Ursinus. Yale (3-9) had their way with MIT, 86-63. Army defeated Dartmouth (2-10) for the second time this season.

Richmond (7-6) was up seven with three minutes to play, but VMI rallied for the 73-70 victory.

Winners of five straight at home, Denver looks to end a 36 game road losing streak at New Orleans.

Princeton's next opponent, UNC Greensboro, lost 75-53 to Akron yesterday afternoon. The Spartans are 1-9 heading into Saturday's game at Jadwin Gym.

First the banners in the rafters, and now something else long-overdue! Princeton will name the floor at Jadwin Gym "Carril Court" in honor of Pete Carril, who stood on the sidelines at Princeton for 29 seasons. There will be ceremony on February 21st when the Tigers host Dartmouth.

Doug Davis made the Honor Roll of the new Ivy Weekly Basketball Awards.
