Confirming what we have been reporting for the past two months, Saint Joseph's officially announced they will play Princeton at Jadwin Gym this season. A date for this game has not yet been announced.
In other scheduling news, Memphis will host Georgetown on December 23rd.

Will Venable has started a rehab assignment with the Lake Elsinore Storm, San Diego's Single A affiliate. Venable will be with the team through Sunday.
Pete Carril's 80th birthday is the subject of a TigerBlog post. Carril had high praise for Sacramento Kings first round draft pick DeMarcus Cousins after Wednesday's NBA Summer League game.
Princeton's 2010-11 women's basketball schedule has been released. It should not be too hard to figure out when the Tiger men's Ivy games will be played based on this information. These dates jive with details we uncovered back in early May.
An amusing post on the Basketball U site is about a game in the Del Co Pro-Am Summer League where many current Penn players and Ugonna Onyekwe lost to a team featuring Kit Mueller. While the most exasperated version of this retelling has since been edited overnight, it still makes for interesting reading.

In our most recent interview with Princeton head Coach Sydney Johnson, he discussed the two Tigers playing basketball this summer in Georgetown's Kenner League.
It turns out two additional players are competing in a similarly sound league closer to campus. Sophomore-to-be Will Barrett and junior guard Douglas Davis are both participating in the Philadelphia Area College League (formerly the Sonny Hill League) at Charles Y. Audenreid High School.
Someone at the gym on Thursday reveals that Davis and Barrett faced off on opposing teams, part of squads loaded with Villanova and Penn players. At the close of a physical game in a sweltering gym, Barrett hit a three with five seconds left to tie the score before Davis nailed the game-winning triple at the buzzer.

Northwestern's John Shurna was named to the named to the United States Select Team.

Back strain has landed Will Venable on the 15 day disabled list retroactive to July 2nd.
The Kenner League kicked off yesterday in Washington, DC. I asked those in attendance to report back on the performances of the two Princeton players taking part. Here are a few lines on Ian Hummer from the first half of his first game.

For the first time in forever, Northwestern will play in the New York area. The Wildcats are scheduled to participate in the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden in December along with St. John's, Davidson and one team TBA.
Here's additional confirmation of Princeton's return trip to Monmouth this season. If you've been keeping close track, that brings the number of games on the Tiger schedule that have been revealed on-line to 25. Expect three more road games and two more home games to fill out the schedule. It looks like one of the games at Jadwin is the last to be confirmed.

Chris Young suffered another setback and will not be throwing again anytime soon.
