Running a Steve Goodrich picture I hadn't seen before, the New York Daily News has Princeton/UCLA as number four on their list of NCAA Tournament's Top 20 Greatest Upsets.
Around the Ivy League: Harvard (17-4 / 6-1) survived Yale (11-10 / 4-3) by three at Lavietes Pavilion. Cornell (6-15 / 2-5) outscored Penn (9-11 / 3-3) by a 19-8 margin in the overtime session of an 82-71 Big Red victory. The Quakers missed a free throw with the score tied and one second left in regulation. Tucker Halpern totalled 25 in a 75-66 Brown (9-12 / 2-5) win over Dartmouth (5-16 / 1-6).
Ian Hummer is number 23 on Bleacher Report's 30 Mid-Major Underclassmen You Need To Know About.
Northwestern's John Shurna may have suffered a concussion versus Minnesota.
Here is Will Venable modeling the Padres' new road uniform.
The 14-Game Tournament has a fascinating piece about (among other things) Ken Pomeroy's projections and how Joe Scott's three Ivy seasons at Princeton each deviated from the confidence intervals.
Georgetown freshman Aaron Bowen will miss the rest of the season after surgery on his right shoulder.
The coach of a junior guard from northern New Jersey says he is "being recruited by Princeton and Columbia as he is also one of the top students in his class."

Northwestern (12-5) kicked off a busy week with an 74-60 win over Michigan. John Shurna had his worst practice of the season on Monday, then scored 24 points on Tuesday.
The Princeton coaching staff has shown interest in a guard from Kansas.
11th & Washington writes that rooting for new Met Chris Young won't be hard.
As some readers know, I've been working on a book about late Princeton professor Marvin Bressler since the summer. I've interviewed 60+ different individuals for their stories of Professor Bressler.
In my research I've uncovered many incredible things that I look forward to someday sharing with you, but one critical missing piece is a recording of Professor Bressler's speech from February 21, 2009 at the Princeton Boathouse.
There were hundreds in attendance at this reception honoring Pete Carril the same evening "Carril Court" was dedicated, but I have been unable to find anyone who taped Marvin's incredible improvised remarks about his friend.
Several have cited what Marvin said that night as one of his finest moments. If you have any leads, cameraphone footage or remembrances of what was said I would like very much to talk with you.
It seems impossible in this electronic age that Professor Bressler's words have vanished into the ether without documentation and I'm hopeful visitors to this site can help my search.

Not to bring the room down after a nice win, but I've been having difficulty thinking of the last time Princeton had a 20 point lead and lost a basketball game. Does a previous occurrence come to mind? I can recall Tiger opponents that have come back from down 19 and down 18 but never 20 or more.
The 14-Game Tournament looks at some of Princeton's statistical red flags through their first three games.
Did you know Tiger guard Ben Hazel is the grandson of Hall of Fame tight end John Mackey?
Former Sacramento King Doug Christie talks about what Pete Carril taught him.
Mercer (3-3) returned to the win column with an 82-68 decision over Lackawanna. 5'10" Jon Jernigan had 18 points, 12 rebounds and six steals. The Vikings were 9-18 from three point range.
High school basketball is getting underway around the nation. Princeton recruit Bobby Garbade scored 12 points in Seton Catholic's season-opening victory.
Judson Wallace had 14 in Gran Canaria's surprising EuroCup win over Buducnost.
Around the Ivy League: Penn (2-2) outscored Lafayette by 16 in the second half of a 74-65 Quaker win. Noruwa Agho had 25 points as Columbia (2-3) defeated Colgate, 76-63. Quinnipiac put away Dartmouth (1-4) by a 69-52 final. Yale (1-3) fell 73-47 at Illinois.
The latest collection of videos from various corners of the Princeton basketball family. Bill Carmody speaks at Northwestern's Midnight Madness event above.
Mason Rocca (left) scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds off the bench for Armani Jeans Milano, but the host team could not hold off the New York Knicks in yesterday's high scoring exhibition. Rocca was a game-best +15 for his squad in 20 minutes of play. Penn product Ibby Jaaber scored 16 points, swiped seven steals and committed nine turnovers. I have the game on my DVR and hopefully I can watch to write up a few notes shortly.
When Will Venable (video) struck out against Brian Wilson in the top of the ninth yesterday, San Diego's improbable final weekend push to make the NL playoffs came up one win short. Venable played in 131 games in 2010, batting .245 with 13 home runs, 29 stolen bases and 129 strikeouts. After making an adjustment to his back elbow in his swing and raising his average as high as .253, Venable went hitless in his final 12 at-bats.
Chris Young only was able to make four starts for the Padres this season. One in the second game of the year and three down the stretch. Young was 2-0 for the Friars with a 0.90 ERA in 20 innings. It is unlikely San Diego will pick up Young's option year.
Bishop John Barres told stories of Pete Carril at the Mayors' Prayer Breakfast in Reading.
Another collection of videos from various corners of the Princeton basketball family. Above Coach Carril talks about the improvement of Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans.
"35 of Princeton's nationally celebrated residents and ex-residents have found a way to celebrate the library's 100th birthday. Each of the 35 has create his or her own page for our silent auction."
Former Princeton head coach Pete Carril's contribution to this event is posted above. The bidding starts at $300 and if you're interested I can pass a proxy bid on to one of the night's attendees.
princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
