Georgetown (10-1) shot 14-15 inside the arc in the first half, on their way to a 99-75 win over Loyola (MD).

In the Bahamas, Richmond (8-3) fell to Georgia Tech by 13. The Yellow Jackets clamped down on the Spiders in the second half.

Freshman Chris Udofia provided a needed spark as Denver (3-9) downed Northern Colorado, 71-68.

Frederick defeated Mercer (5-8) by a 74-59 count. Rodney Walters had 15 for the Vikings.

Oregon State (4-6) trailed for the final 36 minutes of a 87-79 loss to George Washington. Beavers head coach Craig Robinson was in an unforgiving mood after the game.

College Hoops Daily named Kareem Maddox their Player of the Day for Friday.

Princeton recruit Denton Koon had 22 points, six rebounds and three assists in Liberty's win over Shawnee Mission West. Afterwards Koon received the Hy-Vee/Coca-Cola Male Scholar/Athlete award.

Judson Wallace is blogging again for the Eurocup web site. Wallace suffered a muscle contusion over the weekend and his status going forward is in doubt.

We're far enough into the 2010-11 season that KenPom is able to add individual player stats. With 345 DI basketball teams that each start five players and each receive various levels of contribution from bench players, it is impressive that Ian Hummer is in the Top 500 for 11 of the 15 solo stats Pomeroy tracks.

The Dagger writes about Oregon State's inability to curtail embarrassing non-conference losses the last three seasons.

Around the Ivy League: Providence hit Brown (4-4) with a 23-5 run to open the second half of a previously close game and defeated the Bears, 91-64. Yale (4-4) had a similarly big 26-2 burst a few minutes after intermission versus Albany on their way to the 74-53 victory.

It was a light night for the college basketball schedule on Friday but both Hawks that Princeton will be facing next week were in action: St. Joseph's lost their second straight to a fellow Philadelphia squad, 71-60 at Villanova. Monmouth is playing three games in three days over the weekend at the Basketball Travelers Classic in Moscow, ID. Will Campbell's three point shot with five seconds left gave the visitors from West Long Branch a one point win.
