Freshman Chris Udofia provided a needed spark as Denver (3-9) downed Northern Colorado, 71-68.

Oregon State (4-6) trailed for the final 36 minutes of a 87-79 loss to George Washington. Beavers head coach Craig Robinson was in an unforgiving mood after the game.

It was a light night for the college basketball schedule on Friday but both Hawks that Princeton will be facing next week were in action: St. Joseph's lost their second straight to a fellow Philadelphia squad, 71-60 at Villanova. Monmouth is playing three games in three days over the weekend at the Basketball Travelers Classic in Moscow, ID. Will Campbell's three point shot with five seconds left gave the visitors from West Long Branch a one point win.
