Bad news out of Evanston - Northwestern's leading returning scorer, senior forward Kevin Coble, suffered a foot injury at practice on Tuesday. The severity of this injury is not yet known, but preliminary reports have Coble out for a minimum of 4-6 weeks.
The Town Topics and the Trenton Times both preview Princeton in advance of Saturday's season opener at Central Michigan.

Oregon State may have struggled offensively, but they still won yesterday's exhibition over Western Oregon, 75-55.

Oregon State's Craig Robinson met with the media on Tuesday.
This Philadelphia 76ers are learning the language of the Princeton offense. Interesting that many of the plays Pete Carril ran ("Chin" and "Forwards Out" specifically) haven't been given new names by other coaches using them in the past 10+ years.
The Tigers first opponent this season, Central Michigan, looks to start this year healthy and intact.

Practices officially get underway for Division I schools around the country today.
Northwestern and Denver will open their doors to reporters tonight while Princeton will hold a pep rally for students this evening. The most public kickoff is at Georgetown, where a portion of their "March Madness" festivities will be covered by ESPNU - but as Hoyas coach John Thompson III tells the Washington Times, he won't be dancing this year.
ESPN is offering the Georgetown team preview from Blue Ribbon for free.
