Around the Ivy League: Brown (7-8 / 0-1) defeated a quality Quinnipiac squad, 87-78. Dartmouth (4-11 / 0-1) suffered a disheartening 67-64 loss to a Colgate team that had won once this season.

The reception will be in the Gordon Mezzanine (indoor track) - and begins immediately following the game. Head coach Sydney Johnson and the team will attend the party. Refreshments and a light buffet catered by Nellios Gourmet Kitchen of Lexington will be served.
Tickets purchased in advance for the game and party are as follows:
$25 for members of princetonbasketball.com, PANE, PVC or Friends of Princeton Basketball and their guests.
$20 for young alums ('06 - '10) and undergrads.
$10 for children under 18.
Add $10 per adult / $5 for young alums and child for non-members. Tickets to the party only are the same price.
There's a 10% discount on member orders of eight or more tickets received by February 5th.
Note: Harvard box office ticket prices have increased this season to $20 advance; $22 at door (if there are any left).

On an early December walk to Jadwin Gym before the men’s basketball game against St. Joseph’s, junior guard Douglas Davis had time to listen to one song. He selected “Unforgettable,” by the Canadian rapper Drake. The chorus repeated confidently:
“And when you get to talkin’ ’bout the greatest, I just really hope that you’d think of me / ’cause I’m tryin’ to be unforgettable.”
Oregon State (7-9) rallied from 17 down to lead UCLA by two with under three minutes left. The Bruins then scored the game's last seven points as the Beavers missed a pair of free throws and consecutive backdoor layups for a 62-57 final.
Rhode Island nipped Richmond (13-4), pulling out a 78-74 decision.

As some readers know, I've been working on a book about late Princeton professor Marvin Bressler since the summer. I've interviewed 60+ different individuals for their stories of Professor Bressler.
In my research I've uncovered many incredible things that I look forward to someday sharing with you, but one critical missing piece is a recording of Professor Bressler's speech from February 21, 2009 at the Princeton Boathouse.
There were hundreds in attendance at this reception honoring Pete Carril the same evening "Carril Court" was dedicated, but I have been unable to find anyone who taped Marvin's incredible improvised remarks about his friend.
Several have cited what Marvin said that night as one of his finest moments. If you have any leads, cameraphone footage or remembrances of what was said I would like very much to talk with you.
It seems impossible in this electronic age that Professor Bressler's words have vanished into the ether without documentation and I'm hopeful visitors to this site can help my search.
