Michael "Juice" Thompson scored 20 points as Northwestern (13-4) outrebounded #6 Purdue 42-23 and defeated the Boilermakers 72-64.
Richmond (14-5) stayed perfect at home with a 67-64 win over La Salle.
Denver (12-7) was downed by Louisiana-Monroe, 64-53.
Oregon State (8-9) fell at home to Arizona State, 66-57.
Mercer (9-9) evened their record with a 73-65 win over Middlesex. The Vikings got 22 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds from Uros Kovacevic.
Georgetown will be tested at #4 Villanova this afternoon.
Around the Ivy League: Cornell (15-3 / 1-0) kicked off their quest for their a straight conference title with a 74-53 thumping of Columbia (6-9 / 0-1) in Ithaca.

I had read in several write-ups that Lathen Wallace was wide open for the Beavers' game-winning three with one second left on Thursday night, but boy was he ever open.

Wisconsin closed on a 21-8 run to defeat Northwestern (12-4), 60-50. Back-to-back three point shots by Trevon Hughes, each off an offensive rebound, tipped the game in the Badgers' favor.
Looking to avoid a letdown following their stirring comeback over the weekend, Georgetown hosts Seton Hall tonight.
