Chris Young returned from the disabled list in a 5-2 San Diego loss to Los Angeles. Will Venable was 0-3 at the plate in his fourth straight start for the Padres.
Will Venable had two hits and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth as San Diego defeated Colorado 2-1.
Chris Young will join Venable in the Padres' starting lineup in Los Angeles at 8:10 pm ET.

Will Venable became just the second player in San Diego Padres history and the first in 39 years to hit a triple in his first career at-bat.
Starting in center field and batting sixth in the lineup, Venable was 1-4 at the plate in his major league debut, the first Princeton alum to make the pros as a position player since John Easton in 1959.
The Marin Independent Journal tracked down Venable at the Portland airport on his way to San Diego. Venable also spoke to mlb.com before yesterday's action.

Madfriars.com reports that San Diego will purchase the contract of Will Venable and call him up to the major leagues. Venable will replace the injured Scott Hairston on the Padres' roster.
Venable and Chris Young could both be in the same line-up on Sunday, as Young is expected to return to the rotation then.

Princeton hosts Central Michigan on Friday, November 14th. We have now pinpointed dates for nine 2008-09 non-conference games, with home games against South Carolina and Rutgers still to be added to the calendar. The complete schedule must be almost ready!
Princeton will apparently spend much of 2008 on the road. The Tigers play Fordham in the Bronx on Wednesday, November 26th.
