The Princeton coaches and players felt like one got away in Piscataway.
"We thought we were going to win the game all the way up until there were [a few seconds] left on the clock" said senior co-captain Noah Savage. "We planned to win this game."
Jaron Griffin's two free throws with a minute remaining in regulation broke a 48-48 tie between the visiting Tigers and Rutgers on Saturday afternoon, as the Scarlet Knights held off Princeton 54-50.
Lincoln Gunn had 13 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes for the Tigers. He was the only Princeton player in double figures.

While Princeton residents were suffering weather whiplash as temperatures in Mercer County dipped from sleet to 70 degrees and back again, the Princeton University men’s basketball team spent the week of Thanksgiving five time zones away under clear skies on the sunny island of Maui taking part in the 2007 EA Sports Maui Invitational.
Richmond (4-4) needed seven three pointers by David Gonzalez to come back and defeat William & Mary.
Around the Ivy League: Yale (1-4) fell at Holy Cross 60-39. Brown (2-3) lost to Wagner by one in the final seconds. Penn (2-5) was defeated by Lafayette for the first time in a decade. Harvard (3-4) pulled out a 72-67 win over New Hampshire.
"Right now, we just need 40 minutes of good basketball and we're getting 29 or 33 or 36." said Princeton head coach Sydney Johnson after his Tigers dropped a 65-55 decision to Seton Hall on Wednesday night. "Somewhere around the corner, it is coming. Hard work pays off."

Mason Rocca is averaging 10.7 points per-game and 7.1 rebounds in his fourth season for the 3-8 Eldo Napoli squad. Napoli is in 16th place in Lega A.
Judson Wallace is averaging 14.6 points per-game and 10.5 rebounds through 11 games for Capo d'Orlando, who sit in 7th place with a 6-5 record. Wallace is shooting 50% from the three point line (20-40).
