Coach Mitch Henderson - 1/12/12.

With a bus to Ithaca waiting to depart outside Jadwin Gym as soon as they were finished, Tigers head coach Mitch Henderson and princetonbasketball.com editor Jon Solomon met to record a new conversation.

Henderson and Solomon reviewed Princeton's brief stop home to play TCNJ and then previewed the first two Ivy League games of the season at Cornell and Columbia in detail.

This exclusive, rapid-fire Q&A is 7:00+ in length.

If you have questions for future interviews, please feel free to send them here.

Know! Your! Foe! - Columbia.

On Saturday night Princeton wraps up their first weekend of Ivy play at Columbia. As part of our Know! Your! Foe! series please welcome John Templon from Big Apple Buckets to the princetonbasketball.com.

I was confused to discover I haven't actually had John stop by for a K!Y!F! previously, but I was a big fan of his Chicago College Basketball site and I'm greatly enjoying his well-considered coverage of teams in New York City and the surrounding environs. He's the right man to go to for insight on the Lions.

Our email exchange can be found after the jump.

If you haven't read the Cornell preview that was published here yesterday, please do so.

Additionally, if you cover a team the Tigers will face down the line, let us know. It would be great to talk with you.

Thursday News:

Oregon State vs. Arizona - 8:30 pm ET - Root Sports

Princeton recruit Hans Brase scored 15 points in The Hill School's win at Lawrenceville. Anyone attend?

Here is a video preview of this weekend's games in Ithaca.

Northwestern (11-5) lost a heartbreaker at Michigan in overtime, 66-64.

Colorado State held off Denver (13-4) by four in Fort Collins.

The Pioneers' February 4th home game versus Middle Tennessee has been picked up nationally by ESPN.

Oregon State visits Arizona tonight.

Princeton has played nine road games this season, winning five. Did you know 19% of all DI teams have yet to emerge victorious from an opponents' gym?

Around the Ivy League: Brown (5-11) fell to Longwood in the final two seconds.

Know! Your! Foe! - Cornell.

Princeton starts their Ivy slate Friday night in Ithaca and princetonbasketball.com is here to prep you for the Tigers' swing through New York State. As part of our Know! Your! Foe! series please welcome Brian Delaney back to the site.

Brian was with the Ithaca Journal last season but has since moved on to 1160 ESPN. Check out what one of the best Ivy reporters out there and the top source on Cornell basketball had to say about the Big Red.

Our email exchange can be found after the jump.

A Columbia Lions preview will follow tomorrow.

If you cover a team the Tigers will face down the line, let us know. It would be great to talk with you.

Wednesday News:

Northwestern vs. Michigan - 6:30 pm ET - Big Ten Network
Denver vs. Colorado State - 9:00 pm ET - The Mountain Network

Longwood vs. Brown - 7:00 pm ET

The Princeton Packet and the Town Topics look back at the TCNJ game while the Daily Princetonian is ready to focus forward at the Tigers' trip to Cornell and Columbia.

An article on how early action has changed recruiting at Princeton talks to Hans Brase. If you want to go see Brase in action The Hill School plays at The Lawrenceville School today and Hun on Saturday.

Mercer (4-13) defeated Union, 59-53. Ryan Hanley scored 16 in the Viking victory.

Northwestern needs to steal some wins and a chance comes tonight when they travel to Michigan.

Colorado State hosts Denver.

Around the Ivy League: Harvard (14-2) won 70-61 at Monmouth. Penn (7-9) fell to La Salle by 11 at The Palestra.

Princeton wins at St. Joe's in 2010 - The Second Half.

As promised yesterday, here's the second stanza of Princeton's 70-62 win at St. Joe's in the first contest of 2010. Current Tigers Douglas Davis and Ian Hummer had 17 and 10 points respectively, two of the four Princeton players in double figures.

There were a lot of stoppages in the final 20 minutes, so they're divided into 11 separate files. The first half can be found here.

Tuesday News:

Union vs. MCCC - 7:00 pm ET

La Salle vs. Penn - 7:00 pm ET
Harvard vs. Monmouth - 7:00 pm ET

Cincinnati caught Georgetown (13-3) late and defeated the Hoyas 68-64. John Thompson III's team was done in by 17 turnovers. For postgame audio check Hoya Hoops and Hoya Prospectus crunches the numbers.

Brendan Connolly represents Princeton on the latest Ivy League Men's Basketball weekly release.

With the football team possessing the longest bowl losing streak (it pains me to type those words), Northwestern looks to end another streak by making the NCAA Tournament for the first time.

I had not seen this photo from the Princeton/Florida State game before.

Congratulations to John Sadak on being named 2011 Delaware Sportscaster of the Year .

Updated Plus/Minus numbers.

The Princeton athletic department was nice enough to generate and send over plus/minus numbers on each of the Tigers for the 2011-12 non-conference slate.

This initial chart shows the number of minutes played across the first 16 games this season and the difference in points scored by Princeton while each player was on the floor versus points allowed by the Tigers during the same span.

I've also broken down +/- per 40 minutes for all current rotation players, pulled +/- for DI opponents only and added Net/40 numbers ("Roland Rate") with inspiration from Hoya Prospectus.

Princeton wins at St. Joe's in 2010 - The First Half.

The third of three complete Princeton games that were recently uploaded to YouTube is the Tigers' 70-62 win at St. Joe's in the first contest of 2010.

While Princeton had struggled to crack 40 points in their final two tilts of '09 versus Monmouth and Wagner, they knocked down their first first four three point shots on Hawk Hill and desperately held on at the end for a victory in a hostile environment.

Pawel Buczak was a perfect 5-5 from the field as his team led for the final 37:53, one of four Tigers in double figures.

The first half of the game is divided into seven files, with six videos coming after the jump. I'll embed the second half tomorrow.

Monday News:

Cincinnati vs. Georgetown - 9:00 pm ET - ESPNU

In addition to our recap, read about Princeton's home win over TCNJ to close the non-conference schedule on goprincetontigers.com, in the Trentonian, in the Trenton Times, in the Daily Princetonian and on tcnjathletics.com.

Princeton recruit Mike Washington, Jr. and Oak Harbor bettered their playoff chances with a win over Marysville Getchell.

There was improved intensity but Fairfield (8-8) still fell 53-51 at Manhattan.

Struggling with their outside shooting, Georgetown hosts Cincinnati tonight.

Around the Ivy League: Columbia (11-5) won their fourth straight, 65-60 at Elon. Greg Mangano had 35 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in an 101-86 Yale (10-4) victory over St. Joseph's (L.I.).
