Monday News:

Mason Rocca has reached an agreement with Virtus Bologna.

Also off the transaction wire, former Tiger Konrad Wysocki has signed with EWE Baskets Oldenburg of Germany's Bundesliga.

T.J. Bray suited up over the weekend at the Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am. Jimmy Sherburne did not.

This is intriguing: A very tall Australian mentions in passing he has been contacted by Princeton.

Not only did Will Venable come off the bench to drive in what would be the game-winning run (video) for San Diego yesterday, he also made a spectacular extra innings catch two days prior you really must see.

Chris Young, who will take the mound for the Mets tonight, had a personal interest in the team's Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Night.

A different year but the same question: Will an NCAA Tournament bid ever come for Northwestern?

My comment last wek regarding the physical status of Sherburne was submitted after I read the Clay Wilson report but prior to the Milwaukee Summer League report. What a shame that his shoulder may not be sound. I shall find it difficult to erase from my memory the sight of Sherburne's shoulder grotesquely dislocated at Jadwin, ending his season just as he was emerging as a huge contributor at both ends of the court. We all hope this setback is only temporary.

To save everyone the trouble, 213 cm is right about 6'11-7/8"
