Wednesday News:

The relationship between Ian Hummer and his father is the crux of a Yahoo! Sports profile on the Princeton senior forward.

Yahoo! also ran a full Ivy League preview yesterday.

It is unlikely you will make it all the way through this piece on the relationship between Richmond coach Chris Mooney and a former manager without getting teary-eyed.

Judson Wallace scored eight points on 2-10 shooting and grabbed a game-best 13 rebounds in 22 minutes of play off the bench as FC Barcelona defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 99-85.

While the visiting team played without star Dirk Nowitzi, it was the third straight victory for the top team in Spain over an NBA foe. Wallace did not see action in the first quarter but was a significant contributor the rest of the way with a team-high five assists including a pair of no look perimeter passes that set up three point shots for teammates.

The Princeton alum recorded a left wing three, a rebound follow tipping the ball away from the Mavs' Shawn Marion and a trio of free throws.

Elsewhere in Europe, Kareem Maddox is off to a "dream start" with Newcastle.

J. Richey Nash, who earned a varsity letter as a member of the Tigers in the 1986-87 season, is the writer, star and co-director of a new film titled "Hitting the Cycle" that is making its premiere this week.

La di da di. Georgetown's Midnight Madness will feature Doug E. Fresh.

A prospect from Nevada chose Harvard over Stanford, Princeton, Cal, UC Santa Barbara and Lehigh.

The Crimson have adjusted their roster for the upcoming season. Officially absent are Kyle Casey, Brandyn Curry and junior Matt Brown.

I had no recollection of Richey Nash, but sure enough the stats archive shows he had 3 GP over 2 years for the Tigers...2 of the 3 games against Div III competition. Points per game: 0.0.
