Princeton. Georgetown. 1989.

I appreciate the importance of this 1989 NCAA Tournament game as much as the next person, but titling the above YouTube video "Princeton beats #1 Georgetown" goes several steps beyond revisionist history. That said, you can now watch this game in its entirety on-line.

Please note that while the description says the audio is from WPRB's broadcast, it is actually the ESPN announcers calling the game.

While I often exceed even Jon's pristine reverence for historical accuracy, I would note in response one of the finest -- and most precise -- newspaper headlines of the twentieth century (alas, from the Harvard Crimson, but anyway....):

"Harvard Beats Yale 29-29"

I've actually used "Princeton Beats Georgetown 49-50" on occasion myself.

The title of this video has thankfully been changed to "Princeton against #1 Georgetown, 1989."
