ESPN3 to broadcast Princeton at Penn.

This would explain why Tuesday's television broadcast was listed as "TBA" on the Penn athletics web site earlier this morning...

Like they did on Saturday, ESPN3 (formerly ESPN360.com) will stream tomorrow evening's Princeton game at Penn for free. Tipoff is at 7:00 pm ET.

ESPN3 is available gratis via most cable providers, including Comcast, Verizon and Time Warner. It is free on all college campuses and military bases.

You can also access ESPN3 on Xbox Live in the USA. It will work on all browsers and with all operating systems.

A full list of providers can be found here.

Fine print on the Xbox: If your internet provider isn't signed up with ESPN3 (for example Optimum Online), you still won't have access through Xbox Live.

For anyone whose ISP does not have a deal with ESPN3, here is your workaround. It appears to be both effective and legal...I tested it a few minutes ago and it seems to work.

1) You can sign up for a free att.net email account by pointing your browser to http://www.att.net/s/s.dll?spa...t.htm&ch=mb

2) After you have signed up, go to ESPN3.com, and when asks for your ISP, select AT&T.

3) Put in the screen name you selected with AT&T, select "@att.net", put in the password you just chose, and you're in.

Also, pray to the internet gods that you get four or more bars of video quality. I had five bars in the first half but only one in the second half of the Harvard game. The second half was somewhat mysterious.

Yes, the feed at times during the Harvard game made me recall the almost forgotten Max Headroom, with stuttering and/or frozen video, while the audio just kept trucking along.

Here's hoping that the program delivery and game outcome Tuesday night is much more agreeable.
